Parents: We will take care of your children during these sessions. Take advantage of this break to spend time on yourself; like shopping, sewing, or accomplishing something that is not easy to do with your child around. This class is for all new sewers (and students intending on borrowing a sewing machine) so they can take other classes. All beginners must take this class or have teacher approval prior to taking any beginning sewing or kids class at EQB. Machines are provided for students to use in class. Fee includes supplies for class. This is the Beginning Sewing*, Young Sewers Club, basic sewing skills and/or Kids Camp Prerequisite class.*must be confident user of store sewing machine .

Go over the basics of sewing and the tools of the trade, other than the sewing machine. Selecting and reading a pattern, taking measurements, choosing fabrics, laying our patterns, reading pattern markings, cutting, basic construction and finishing techniques will also be demonstrated.

Learn to Sew. With each project young people will learn one or more basic sewing techniques. Each month we will feature a project that will be completed in class. Millennium Club Attendees receive free classes up to 1 year with machine and all materials purchased at Eddie’s.
