Diana Leone Art in Council Chambers
The Town of Los Gatos and The Museums of Los Gatos Present:
ART IN COUNCIL CHAMBERS
Diana Leone (1940-2015) was an author, teacher, fabric designer, painted textile art quilt maker, water-media artist and a dealer of fine antique quilts. Diana began designing and making quilts in 1958, and was a published author of several quilting books including the renowned “The New Sampler Quilt” as well as a fabric designer. Her fabric designs are available in most quilt shops, and other quality fabric stores. In 1997 Diana moved into painting, both on fabric for her art quilts, and on canvas and paper for water-media fine-arts. Her paintings are extraordinary creations of light and color. She painted in both watercolor and oil mediums. Her pieces are still on display at the Los Gatos Museum Gallery.
