Natural things are not computer perfect, therefore the designer, Julie Mullin, has created all the drawings by hand. In using the patterns, don't be concerned with small variations in the lines - if you put an extra bump in a leaf no one will ever know! Relax, you can make a "mistake" on these designs and still have a great looking frog, leaf, fern, pine cone, etc. Many of the designs lend themselves beautifully to trapunto, applique, wholecloth, shading techniques or flower pounding. These quilting designs can be enlarged or reduced on a copy machine and traced onto quilting paper. Then easily quilt by free-motion sewing over the traced lines. No need to mark the quilt top - just pin the quilting paper in place!
