Service & Repair
Drew Schleter is our in-house master technician. Growing up in the sewing machine business, he has been familiar with sewing machines from a very young age. Under the guidance of his father, Lawrence Schleter, Drew learned the ropes of sewing machine repair, starting from the very basics. “I had to learn how to fix and operate 50-60 year old machines before I could learn the fancier machines, which would be from 40 years old to present.” He also had training in Florida from certified Singer & Janome technicians and industrial machine training as well. Drew is a certified tech for Bernina, Babylock, Pfaff, & Viking machines, and has serviced just about every other make & model of every machine as well. The list includes sewing, quilting, embroidery machines and serger brands: Babylock, Bernina, Pfaff, Viking, Singer, Brother, Janome, New Home, White, Riccar, Elna, Simpicity, Juki, Necchi, Kenmore, Tacsew, Consew, and more.
Machine repairs can be dropped off at any time during regular store hours. There is a 2-day turnaround on most repairs depending on how many machines are currently in line & if parts have to be ordered. All machines come with a minimum 30 day warranty to assure everything is working to the machine’s fullest potential. If you are looking for an opinion, we will give you an honest suggestion of whether a machine is worth repairing and has some life left in it, or if the time has come to maybe look at a new machine.
